More than ten years ago, Szikametró89 Ltd. has established a partnership with Draka EHC (previously called EHC Global Germany), and we have been the Hungarian distributors of the products manufactured by EHC ever since.
The German subsidiary of the company group manufactures various types of rubber handrails, supplemented with vulcanizing kits and other parts necessary for the manufacturing and maintenance of escalators.
Our company has long been in contract with BKV Zrt., supplying 3,000 – 4,000 running meters of handrail rubber for the company on an annual basis. In 2016 BKV Zrt. has purchased a handrail field splicing machine through our company (shown on the photo); the use of which was demonstrated by an employee of the German company in the course of a one day training.
Draka EHC has an extensive product range, offering rubber handrails for any escalator type, whether colored or printed. In the summer of 2020 the company has successfully introduced a LED UV-C handrail sterilization module.
